Britton Elementary

To kick start my observations, the first place to begin was in elementary education. Everyone was assigned to Britton but we got to pick our grade focus. I decided 3rd grade becasue I adore the little ones, so full of energy and love. We observed from September 13 to October 20, visiting 3 days a week. I absolutely loved being there with the kids day after day. They were truly a very special group.

Even though the structure was the same everyday, rotate through each center, there was always new surprises. I helped them in their math and reading centers, quickly learned how important Gigi the penguin in ST math on the fancy iPads. Also reading page after page in all the new books, taking turns of who reads out loud. My favorite part was being given the chance to create my own center and teach all the kiddios about theatre and improv games. The whole experience was such a blast! Truly warmed my heart every time I walked into their classroom and leaving me smiling.
