My Lesson Plans

Here I combined both of my passions: theatre and teaching, into one single lesson. I incorporated the idea of improv games into the subject of brain breaks, providing my students another option for them to unwind with during the school day, or at home with friends and family. I've also had the opportunity to teach this not just in my observations but also for the
Ed. Rising Competition!
Over the course of the school year our EDU class has taught different parts of the R-Factor formula, including power of the team! In this Lesson I created a creative and innovated way to teach our 3rd grade class about teamwork. Rather it be with a sports team, a classroom or your family teamwork is important and can help you in many ways.
This lesson was inspired by one of my favorite childhood stories, The Lost Mitten by Jan Bert. Here I read the story to my second grade students at Alton Darby, afterwards we had a group
discussion. Heading into a writing prompt of "what would you find in your lost mitten?" and wrapping up the day with a colorful activity: personalizing our very own lost mittens!
